Receive a Violation Letter?

It’s important that you now take the necessary steps to correct the infraction as quickly as possible, since additional offenses may lead to fines. To avoid further action, please send us a written response. If we see that the violation has been corrected, the matter will be closed.

If you feel you are compliant and the violation letter was sent in error, please respond in writing so we can look into the matter for you.

 

Andy Turner, CEO and Founder

Andy Turner is the CEO and Founder of Spaces.  Turner leads the Spaces team with a commitment to excellence guided by the Spaces foundational purpose of enriching lives and communities through residential services and its core values.  He is focused on delivering value added services and building loyal relationships.  Turner also keeps an emphasis on the necessity of improving and innovating processes to provide the best possible customer experience.  In addition to leadership, Turner primarily works on strategy development, business development, and customer relationships.

Turner began his career in real-estate in 2004 as a real estate agent, and then in 2005 founded what is today Spaces Management.  Since then, Turner has been involved in all aspects of managing and leasing residential communities.  Notable projects where Turner was involved in part or in full for the site selection, development plan, re-zoning, pre-construction lease-up, or long-term management include:  Midtown Village, Traditions, Crimson Place, Capstone Quarters, Houndstooth, Sterling Crimson Living, The Bluff at Water Works Landing, The Grove at Water Works Landing, The Nine at Tuscaloosa, The Nine at Memphis, The Nine at West Campus, The Nine at Rio, Blue Haus, and The Walk.  Turner believes that his success can be attributed to his commitment to provide stellar service built on a foundation of virtuous character. 

Turner completed five years of coursework and a case study to receive the coveted Professional Community Association Manager designation from Community Associations Institute in 2013.  He also holds the Association Management Specialist designation, is a licensed Realtor, and Homebuilder.

Prior to working in real estate sales and development, Andy worked as an instructor of Business Ethics and Small Company Management for the University of Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama, and went on to receive his PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Alabama.  During his time in school he received numerous awards including the National Alumni Association Graduate Fellow, the Graduate Council Fellowship, the Langston T. Hawley Management Graduate Scholarship Award, the Betty Loomis Distinguished Student Scholarship, the Minnie C. Miles Human Resources Management Endowed Graduate Scholarship, the Coleman Scholarship, and the Frederick Augustine Brett Memorial Endowed Scholarship. In addition, he has also worked as an industry consultant, and as a leadership counselor.

Steve Case, President

Steve Case serves as the President of Spaces.  In this capacity Steve leads the organization with responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations and financial management of the company.  Steve’s extensive background in finance and accounting is a valuable asset in his role as he creates and maintains the appropriate processes and systems throughout the company to provide the best customer experience, financial reporting, accountability, and internal controls for Spaces and its customers. 

Prior to serving as President of Spaces, Steve served as CFO for Land and Natural Resource Development, Inc. for four years, and prior to that he was at Jamison Money Farmer, PC Accounting Firm for 20 years where he was a Partner in the firm. 

Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. He is a Certified Public Accountant with 24+ years of accounting experience, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Nicki Hall, Vice-President of Association Management

Nicki Hall leads the Association Management division, and will have primary oversight for your Association.  Hall joined the Spaces Management team in May of 2015, and has provided excellent leadership and growth for the Association Management division.  She serves on the Associates Council and the Board of Directors of the Homebuilders Association of Tuscaloosa. 

Prior to joining Spaces Management, Hall led the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors as the Executive Vice-President/CEO.  During her 13 years at the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors, Hall built a network of relationships in the Tuscaloosa real estate community, and invaluable experience in leading the Board of Directors and a wide variety of Committees.  Hall is a native of Tuscaloosa and a University of Alabama graduate. She completed the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation through CAI shortly after starting with Spaces, and is continuing her pursuit of additional education through CAI in order to achieve the PCAM designation. 

Nikki Van Luvender, Association Accounting Manager

Nikki Van Luvender heads the Association Management Accounting division and will have primary oversight for your Association’s Financials.  Ms. Van Luvender joined the Spaces Management team in April of 2012 as a Staff Accountant, and worked diligently to become the Association Accounting Manager.  She is a member of the National Notary Association and Community Association Institute. 

Prior to joining Spaces Management, Ms. Van Luvender had 9 years of accounting experience. Ms. Van Luvender is a native of Tuscaloosa and a University of Alabama graduate. She is continuing her pursuit of additional education through CAI in order to achieve the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation.

Brooke Herring, On-Site Community Association Manager

Brooke Herring joined the Spaces Management team as part of the Association Management division in June of 2019 and oversees the property management of the University Downs Condominium Home Owner’s Association. Brooke joins our team with eleven years of experience in the Tuscaloosa property management market. She is currently working on expanding her education through CAI by completing the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation.

Brooke has been a resident of Tuscaloosa county for 25 years. She has one daughter who currently attends Shelton State Community College as a member of the Lady Bucs softball team and one son who attends Northside High School and plays varsity baseball.

Olivia Turner, Property Manager / Realtor

Olivia Turner is the property manager for Traditions Condominium. Prior to joining the Spaces Management team in July 2018, she obtained her real estate license in 2017. While acting as the on-site manager for Capstone Quarters from July 2018 to August 2020, Olivia obtained the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation. From August 2020 to October 2022, she worked as the on-site manager for The Walk, an off-campus student housing property. In November 2022, she returned to associations and is now managing Traditions Condominiums. She handles leasing for this property and holds an active real estate license.

Denise Reach, Onsite Community Manager Midtown Village Condominiums

Denise Reach is the onsite Property Manager and Community Association Manager for Midtown Village Condominiums. Reach also handles leasing and is a licensed Realtor. Reach joined the Spaces Management team in August of 2021 and looks forward to spearheading community development.

Prior to joining Spaces Management, Reach was a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty and a property
manager for over 10 years. She is incredibly passionate about serving her community and building meaningful relationships with all potential clients, be they buyers/sellers, mortgage lenders, or tenants. Prior to Real Estate, Reach was in banking/finance for roughly 15 years. She is an Alabama native and a graduate of Holt High School.

LaTangie Miller, Community Association Manager

LaTangie Miller serves as our Community Association Assistant. Passionate about creating positive experiences for others, LaTangie is dedicated to building strong relationships and delivering exceptional results. With a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, she will consistently go above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction. In her free time, LaTangie enjoys volunteering in her local community and spending time with family and friends.

Kelley Elmore, Community Association Manager

Kelley Elmore brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for community building to her role as a Community Association Manager at Spaces Management. Prior to joining Spaces, Kelley spent several years immersed in the dynamic world of apartment management across Tuscaloosa County, where she specialized in both conventional multifamily and student communities.

Driven by her innate desire to make a positive impact, Kelley has always been dedicated to fostering thriving communities and empowering individuals within them. Her commitment to service and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life have been instrumental in her career journey.

Kelley’s transition to Spaces Management marks an exciting chapter in her professional growth. As a Community Association Manager, she is dedicated to leveraging her expertise to enhance the quality of life for residents and cultivate vibrant, inclusive communities where everyone feels valued and supported.

Eager to expand her knowledge and skills, Kelley is currently pursuing additional education through the Community Associations Institute (CAI) with the aim of obtaining the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation. This commitment to ongoing learning underscores her dedication to delivering excellence in community management and elevating industry standards.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Kelley enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with her loved ones. With a blend of experience, empathy, and a relentless drive to make a difference, Kelley Elmore is poised to continue making meaningful contributions to the communities she serves at Spaces Management.

CC Thompson, Community Association Manager

C.C. Thompson is a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and has been with the Spaces Management Association Department since May of 2016. In her role as an Association Manager, she works primarily with neighborhood homeowner associations and is actively pursuing her Association Management Specialist (AMS) certification.

C.C. is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Public Relations. Prior to joining the team at Spaces Management, C.C. spent over ten years working in college athletics and several years working in the non-profit sector.

Wade Farris, On-Site Community Association Manager

Wade Farris is the onsite Property Manager and Community Association Manager for Traditions Condominiums. Farris also handles leasing and is a licensed Realtor. Farris joined the Spaces Management team in June of 2019, and has led many community improvement projects to date.

Prior to joining Spaces Management, Farris was a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty here in Tuscaloosa, building relationships with home buyers and sellers, mortgage lenders and fellow Realtors and served on the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtor’s Safety Committee. Prior to Real Estate, Farris spent 38 years in Retail Management, guiding the teams of various Specialty and Big Box Retail Stores. Farris is a native of Tuscaloosa and a Holt High School graduate. He is pursuing the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation through CAI.

Garrett Leopard, Lead Grounds Porter

Garret Leopard is a graduate of Hillcrest High School and has been with Spaces since 2016.  He holds a Certified Pool Operator Certification and is responsible for 7-10 properties and assists with training new hires.

Barry Standefer, Grounds Porter Crimson Place

Barry Standifer started working part-time at different properties for Spaces Management in January of 2015.  Barry quickly exceeded expectations and became a full-time employee working for Spaces Management at Crimson Place Condominiums in April of 2017.  He retired from the University of Alabama as a Pipefitter 3 in 2006.  Barry has one son and three grandchildren with whom he loves spending time.  Barry is a family man that resides in Northport, AL with his lovely wife.
